Xbox user alert: Trials Evolution official trailer (Spring 2012)
Re: Online multiplayer… Ultimate Excitebike?
Team Fortress 2 is now free to play.
If you haven’t yet, no better time to start playing one of the best FPS multiplayer games ever made.
Guilty Pleasures (again?)
I know there was once a thread here about guilty pleasures, but I can’t seem to find it. If I recall correctly, there were two main responses:
1. Here’s something shitty I like
2. I don’t feel guilty about anything I like because that would be hipstery to be ashamed of liking a song.
Unfortunately, I don’t remember what I wrote, but it was either #2 or maybe some silly 90’s tracks. But man, have I got a good one. See, the thing is… I love this track. Love it to the point where I’ve been listening to it regularly for about a month and enjoying it so much that I have to turn it way the fuck up and rock out in my chair. But simply admitting I’m aware of it is perhaps a bigger dork than anyone might have guessed. Admitting I can’t get enough of it? Yeah.
So here it is: Simon Viklund’s house/trance remix of Bionic Commando (an old Nintendo game)’s Power Plant stage done for the re-release of the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPtHTroVWPM
Top that.
Everything that's wrong with modern video games.
You can play through an entire level of the new Call of Duty game without actually firing your weapon or doing anything. It’s just a movie you sort of interact with. A bit.
For some reason, Kirby gets mad when he crosses the Pacific.
But why? Is this a reflection of American culture?
Civilization IV, for another 21 hours.
So as some of you may know, Steam is having a huge sale until July 4th. I just bought Civ VI and three bonus campaigns for ten bucks. Anyone wanna play? Oh, this one’s PC and Mac friendly.
The Scrabbled FIFA Soccer 10 league
As mentioned in the xbox live kids called me a niggerfag thread, a FIFA Soccer 2010 league is happening. For the XBox. I just got my copy and played a few games with Paris. It’s an incredibly fun game and I still dont’ fully understand the sport. Get yourself a copy (or an XBox and a copy) and Matt should, hopefully, organize it. Cause he knows how these things work.
Super Mario Galaxy 2
I went into Gamestop at the mall today. I wanted to find out when this game comes out. Turns out, it already did.
Nintendo has not failed me, yet again. Same colorful, musical 3-D planetary adventure as its predecessor. Except now, there’s fucking Yoshi. Not only is it just fun to see the dino-pal back in the franchise, but with it comes new gameplay such as grappling, pulling, eating, and (I’m assuming soon) shooting.
There are some new Mario suits as well, that I have yet to experience. And the navigation from galaxy to galaxy is less annoying. Think SMB3 World Maps now.
I’d say the only lame thing is the poor classic story line. Bowser destroys party. Princess gets kidnapped. Star-people need stars. Mario saves everyone.
Revealed: Michael Jackson wrote the soundtrack for Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
And now I have a strong desire to go play it.
Man attempts to kill every NPC in Fallout 3, documents with the scrupulousness of a serial killer.
It sort of makes me want to play the game again.
The Power Glove. It's so bad.
The dude is annoying, but I never owned a power glove and always wondered how it worked. Now I know: horribly.
A bizarre and amazing tribute to the history of video games.
Unbelievably cool and creative. Very mildly NSFW at the end (it’s all 8-bit, but suggestive).
Steve Weibe is attempting the Donkey Kong world record right now!
If you haven’t see The King of Kong, let me assure you, this is pretty awesome news.
The Beatles + Rockband
Release date and details for the Rockband game featuring the beatles catalogue.
This Is Wiidiculous
Every time I open my wallet, I see my GameStop gift cards. I want to spend them SO badly, but I’ve been patient. I realized though, what is Nintendo waiting for? I could really use a new game. Animal Crossing has been great – as a goddamn coaster. Anyone hear/read anything?
