Hitchens: Waterboard is Torture
Christopher Hitchens is kind of an asshole. One of the hallmarks of his particular brand of assholishness is being so absolutely sure of everything he’s saying (though generally he’s pretty spot-on about things). So when he claimed that the US does not engage in torture and thus inferred that waterboarding is not torture, it was a bit infuriating.
But it seems he’s changed his mind. Hitchens agreed to be waterboarded and has completely 180’d his position.
Now let’s just start waterboarding the rest of the assholes out there who think it’s merely extreme interrogation and see what sort of results we get.
