The Scrabbled: Making Fun of Each Other since '99

So I fergot to start week #10! And now it’s Tuesday night and I’m a beer and two glasses of bourbon in with hours of work to do before I go to bed and I want to hear songs about drinking and booze and things involving alcohol and/or the consumption thereof. So comment with your favorite song on the subject! And if you’re super awesome, upload it, too!

I listen to a lot of Car Talk and I’m always impressed by the wide array of filler songs they manage to find solely about cars and driving. So let’s see how well we can do. Suggest and upload your favorite songs about cars, driving, and the open road.

Let’s do better than last week, eh?

With pop music on our brains, I wanted to do a pop song comp. But with “pop” being so broad a category of music, I figured what better and more clear rule could their be than Top 40 Singles. So suggest and upload your favorite Billboard Top 40 chart-toppers (or whatever the UK equivalent is, if it’s not Billboard). And, for the sake of consistency, let’s keep it all fairly recent Like, post 1950.

This week’s thanks to a suggestion from Paris. All songs that are “Part 2” of another song. To be clear, it is not enough that the song merely have “Part 2” in the title. There must exist a Part 1, either in title or in spirit/story.

This weeks Scrabbled Comps theme is cover songs. Simply suggest and upload your favorite cover songs, one per person, and fifteen in all. I ask, for the sake of our speakers, that you not upload any really shitty live recordings. If at all possible try to stick to studio recordings or live board feeds.
