I Married a Republican; Politics in General

A great NYTimes article on the Trials and Tribulations of a bipartisan marriage.

For those of you getting sick of the politics stuff, I really do apologize. But for the next nine months or so, this is it. Like a limey obsessing over the world cup, I eat this stuff up and, to me, it never gets old. It’s a sentiment Garrison Keiler sums up very nicely with his whimsical elegance. So whether it’s Clinton urging the creation of new “Swiftboat” groups or Obama’s strength against McCain in head-to-head polls (more here), I’m gonna post it. And you’re gonna groan. And I might yell and shout. But it’s all in good fun. Unless McCain wins. Then it fucking sucks.

In closing, Yes We Can Has.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.

About The Scrabbled

The Scrabbled is a group of people blogging about and linking to all manner of things. Usually we argue and make fun of each other. Everybody knows everybody through somebody so there are no strangers here. Most of us have even met in real life! If you happen to personally know someone here and would like to start arguing with and/or making fun of someone, shoot John an email and ask to sign up. Otherwise, you're just going to have to read in relative silence. Sorry.
