Geo Caching?
Have any Scrabblers engaged in geocaching? My cousins from California were just visiting and dropped some knowledge on all of us. It sounds like a fun thing to do (especially if you have kids, or are bored and want to do some exploring).
I’m thinking of getting in on it and leaving little squashed souvenir pennies from Boston.
Reggie Goes Green
I’ve always been interested in how much electricity I’ve been using, and where I’ve been wasting it. Yes, I can look at my electricity bill every month, but I wanted more. So, I bought the Kill A Watt (get it?!)
Basically, you plug this device into a standard 3 prong socket, and plug in other devices into that. It shows you current voltage draw, amperage, but best of all, kilowatts! There’s also a timer, as well as a kw/H meter so you can see EXACTLY how much juice you’re using for any period of time.
It just came in today, and with a few hours of use under my belt, here’s what I found.
So I've been watching some Anime...
Because the world outside my door is a frightening place full of things like “The Sun,” and “Fresh Air.”
There’s this show called Bleach which is apparently all the rage these days… anyone (else) know it?

Buying Glasses Online
I’ve got a huge scratch on one of my supposedly scratch-proof lenses and the bridge is getting bendy in that way that metal gets bendy when it’s just about had it. I need new glasses. I just bought this pair maybe two years ago and they cost me $160. Apparently, this should not be so. So what’s a nerd to do?
Buy glasses online. As the title of the article states, decent eye glasses can be had for $40 or lower if one is willing to take the proper measurements and precautions. I need to find a new optometrist to make sure my prescription is up to date and get my pupil distance while I’m at it and I hope to buy possibly a coupla pairs — you know, so I can mix and match like the fashionista I so desperately want to be.
