John is hungry

I have had a stiff neck since Bill and Maggie's wedding.

Over two months ago! While I managed to make it through much of the night maintaining a medium to strong whisky drunk without embarrassing myself (much — or that I know of), it seems I drunken passed out in bed in some sort of odd position that left me unable to move my neck much for a week. Slowly, it got better, but about a month ago, it plateaued. I used to be able to push my chin up to crack my neck — no longer! It can’t stretch that far. Peering over my shoulder to see oncoming traffic or catch a fly ball can be a surprisingly painful experience if I didn’t take any ibuprofen or stretch earlier that day. Even sitting on the couch in the same position for too long can cause it to stiffen up a bunch and I have to stretch to be able to turn my head again.

In short, I am old and Bill and Maggie owe me a new neck.

About The Scrabbled

The Scrabbled is a group of people blogging about and linking to all manner of things. Usually we argue and make fun of each other. Everybody knows everybody through somebody so there are no strangers here. Most of us have even met in real life! If you happen to personally know someone here and would like to start arguing with and/or making fun of someone, shoot John an email and ask to sign up. Otherwise, you're just going to have to read in relative silence. Sorry.
