In case anyone cares to see more photos from Italy, I finally got the rest of them up on my flickr page. Don’t miss this video of a sort-of marching band type thing playing and drinking during the Holiday in San Donato. I have more videos to go up, but they all need editing and who knows when I’ll do that.
Italy Log, Day 8
Our last (full) day! Lots of nothing, mostly. We get up at 5am tomorrow to drive to to Rome and catch our plane. ugh.
Italy Log, Day 3
Image uploading issues continue, though I think I’m getting somewhere by doing it now while everyone’s out. I’ve been previously trying at night or during the noon-to-three downtime where everyone come home, all the shops close, and nothing happens for three hours. Basically a siesta. It’s awesome, but it seems to eat up all my internets. Anyway, read on for more stuff.

Hey I’m blogging! Look, everybody, I’m blogging! Last time I was in Europe I kept a journal. I still go back and read it every now and again and it’s always nice how it brings back things I’d forgotten. So this time, I’m just writing that journal here. Books can get Lost. If I made a movie-adaptation of a video game, I would be remarkably faithful to the source material.
The theater would go dark, ambient music would rise from the speakers, and a majestic view of space would appear behind the title “HALO: The Movie” and beneath that a smaller title would appear that said “Press Start”.
Everyone would chuckle, but the screen would remain. After five minutes, people would start to get restless. After ten minutes, some would start looking around their seats and immediate area for a controller of some sort. None would be found. The screen would remain. After 30-40 minutes, everyone would go home in frustration.
Chances are it would at least make you want to go buy the game and play it.
