Death and Taxes
Well, not taxes as much as annual income. ESPN has this salary calculator which takes your annual income and compares it to the annual salaries of the highest paid baseball players, and lets you know how long you would have to work to make what these guys make in a year.
Let's Play "Who's the Financial Psychic?"
So the dollar hit a new low against the Euro this week. And Gosia and I are going to be in Tuscany three months from now. So the question is… do we convert our money now and hope to save a few dollars as the dollar continues to tank? Or do we wait until our trip to convert our money and hope the dollar recovers a bit?
Also, let’s send some pity Paris’ way. Great week to be traveling to London.
Clinton's Campaign Finance Woes
So has anyone been paying attention to all the news concerning Hillary’s massive campaign expenditures? I was hoping someone else would post it cause I hate to hit you folks with politics every day like this. But the internets are blowing up about it. Donors are apparently quite worried about her $25,000 hotel rooms, $3.8 million dollar strategists, and $95,000 deli bills. I have absolutely no idea how normal these numbers are for a political campaign, relatively speaking, so I don’t know if this is evidence of the so-called anti-Hillary bias the media supposedly has.
But considering how her campaign finished January $7.6 million in debt (despite her $5 million loan); considering how 90% of Clinton’s contributions have already donated the maximum $2300 compared to only 3% of Obama’s, it really doesn’t look good for her. All this info quite readily raises the question: If she can’t manage her campaign budget, how can she manage the country’s?
