Every year, despite all my best efforts, I end up missing a truly great album; something I could have been enjoying for months and would have made my top albums of the year. In 2007, there was The Acorn’s Glory Hope Mountain and El Guincho’s Alegranza. In 2008, it’s Deerhoof’s Offend Maggie.

Everybody knows everybody through somebody so there are no strangers here. Most of us have even met in real life!
