This article is not to tell you about the best sushi place in Philadelphia. I want you to tell me about the best sushi place in Philadelphia.

Does anyone have any suggestions? It is all right (and almost preferred) if it’s a fancier sort of place.

No, this is not a new article on The Pop Shop. I just wanted to get a conversation going on your favorite cheese/bread combination.

I’ve been doing Muenster cheese for a long time now. It melts very well and it has just the right amount of salt to it. Good for the price for sure.

I like the multi-grain bread too.

Funny story, in college, a 1/2 pound of Muenster cheese fell out of a shopping bag, and unknowingly-to-me, remained under the car seat for a day or so. Anyway, I discovered it there, and it was some of the best cheese I’ve ever eaten. I’ve been fully committed to Muenster ever since.

So I have the following ingredients, to make a layered dip:

• refried beans
• sour cream
• shredded cheese
• shredded lettuce
• diced tomatoes
• diced chiles
• hot sauce

In what order would you make the layers? Would you double up any layers? Does order not matter to you?

Note: this dip will not be heated. Unless, maybe you think it should (and then the sour cream goes on top?).

I have a problem, probably one of the best problems I’ve ever experienced, but a problem none-the-less.

I have the opportunity to receive an NES or SNES for free. The problem is that I can only pick one.

Now, I owned both as a child. I recall liking the SNES a bit more, but that might just be the fact that I can remember that better.

I think my decision might also be based upon the games that are available to take. I don’t know what they are exactly. But I’d love to hear some conditional statements about which one to pick.

It looks like I’m going camping in July and I wanted to bring one of my favourite camping foods – beef (turkey, elk, buffalo, venison, whatever is good) jerky. I have no desire, space or time to make it myself at the moment and wanted to know where you guys would recommend finding the best.

If I can order it online and have it delivered, all the better! Suggestions please, if you’ve got ‘em. And if you know what you’re doing and want to make me some, you’re hired!.

My school in Cherry Hill has a big collection of PS3 third-party controller addons.

There’s a golf club, baseball bat, tennis racket, and something else I’m not sure of.

Again, they are free. Let me know if you want something and I’ll grab ‘em up today. I’ll hold on to them until we ever see one another (or perhaps we can use Hutch as a middle man).

Sam scored a slow cooker a.k.a. crock pot over the holiday weekend.

I followed up by purchasing a giant pork shoulder butt yesterday.

You, The Scrabbled, must now continue this by giving me recipes, instructions, pointers, tidbits on making some slow-roasted pulled pork.

Since the school year started, I’ve been cooking more than I ever have before. I do all right, and sure as shit love to chop anything. I had a few discussion points on my mind recently:

• I know what shortening is, but how can I use it? There is some extra shortening around the kitchen, and I’m looking to put it to use, possibly in bulk. Baking?

• I have about a cup of hyper-flavored oil. It housed roasted red peppers I made 2 months ago. It still has the garlic cloves floating around too. What would be a great thing to do with this oil?

• How exactly do you, personally, caramelize onions. Mainly, do you add a little sugar? Or just let the natural onion sugar do its thing?

• What are some of your favorite winter dishes to cook?

Let’s talk about milk. I’ve been a big fan of whole milk for a long time. I like waking up in the middle of the night and pouring out a big old glass of milk. I usually drink it in one gulp and it’s very fulfilling.

Anyway, I’ve been going the skim milk route for about 2 years now. Occasionally, I’ll go back to the old favorite. This is what brought me to post about milk.

I just had a cold glass of whole milk. It tasted like heavy cream (after my skim-conversion). Here’s the catch though: I liked it.

What are your thoughts on milk?

Just finished listening to Tim, by The Replacements, for the second time today. So Good! The album came out in ’84 and they broke up in ’91 so there was never really a chance for me to get into them. What “before your time” albums do you really love?

Does anyone here know of any online or print “zines” (i threw up a little typing that word)or music websites that’ll review a band’s CD? Anything to give my band some press? Everything I seem to find has to do with punk/hardcore.

I live in Perth Amboy with two brothers. Their father hunts/fishes often. There is a fridge in the basement full of meat. No, I don’t think Mr. Gregory hunts goat, but alas, there are goat chops.

Does anyone have an suggestions/recipes/ideas for me? I just made some delicious red curry chicken soup over the weekend, so I’m certainly in the mood for something with some foreign panache. Maybe something Greek?

Been thinking about the nature of opinion and how we’re allowed to have some opinions, but others can be viewed as snobbish. This lead me to the question, is there such a thing as bad art? Why or why not?
