By Kulak wants snow over 3 years ago

I got the urge to ride again in March, mostly do to not being able to run. I have been researching bikes and components since then.

Finally today I went ahead and ordered a Trek 6700 with disc brakes, shoes, and a helmet. Now it is starting to get into prime riding weather, is there anyone else that rides?

here is my bike!!

i was actually thinking of buying a bike earlier this month. i’m still doing research on it. i was eyeing this specialized hardrock. it’s an entry level bike. i need it to strengthen my legs a bit. i have finally been able to do more running (i had a hernia op in mid-july) and my knees are biting a bit. anywho, what kind of components are on the trek you got? have you thought of training for a triathalon?

I have had operations for my shoulder and knee in the past 3 years. So unless I get the operation to fix the knee I won’t be doing any triathalons soon.

As for components, it has the Hayes Hydraulic disc brakes, Shimano derailurs, I forget what crank it has, and has Roc Shox adjustable front forks. For what I paid for it, the components are very good.

If you are looking for a specialized, I was checking one out at action wheels in woodbury and they had it on sale for cheap since the 06 models are coming out. I think it was like sub $500 and it rode really nicely. It was also a 19 inch frame so I don’t know if that would fit you or not.

To check out parts and bikes go over to Mountain Bike Review. That is where I went to see how the bike rated.
