The subtitle of that article should have been “Centrist, corporate friendly Democratic party insiders speak nicely of other Centrist, corporate friendly Democratic party insider.”
Honesly, if the other side weren’t so batshit crazy I would be hard pressed to be bothered to vote in November. When one of his greatest accomplishment has been to pass a Republican written (almost to the letter) health care law from 1993 that’s really not a solid case to be made.
And that’s not even getting into his embrace of Republican education policy and stuff like foreign policy, detention, etc.
Ultimately I’m going to justify pulling the lever for him based on a few scraps of social issues, and even on those (gay rights, abortion rights, etc.) I wouldn’t exactly call him a fierce advocate.
