I’d say it was a 2 phased detachment: 1) The powers that be in the party realized they’d reached a point where they had “worked the ref” enough in terms of the media to the point that very few people in “journalism” would venture to call a lie a lie for fear of being labeled liberal. So instead we get a “both sides say” approach to every story, and 2) Once they realized they could energize their base wiht this new style media by completely detaching themselves from reality as long as the thrust of their point was something that pissed off liberals (which leads us now to them being against Republican designed policies and laws simply because they are being proposed by a Democrat.

About The Scrabbled

The Scrabbled is a group of people blogging about and linking to all manner of things. Usually we argue and make fun of each other. Everybody knows everybody through somebody so there are no strangers here. Most of us have even met in real life! If you happen to personally know someone here and would like to start arguing with and/or making fun of someone, shoot John an email and ask to sign up. Otherwise, you're just going to have to read in relative silence. Sorry.
