Ugh. Just the fact that it’s being passed off that it’s some agreed upon conventional wisdom that the whole debt thing is some unsustainable issue and the biggest one facing our country is just absurd.

Especially since the two biggest things that contributed to this debt, beyond the shadow of a doubt are the tax cuts and the wars, and the fact that ending either one of those things isn’t even on the table as a possibility for either side…..so ridiculous. And the fact that Obama and the Democrats are buying into this as some massive crisis, without even attempting to solve the underlying problem (No jobs, no jobs, unemployment, and then again no jobs. Did I mention no jobs?).

I’m sure some of the “left” proposals are all well and good but the fact that the media and worse yet the Democrats have gotten suckered into this debate is just pathetic.

I don’t get all choked up about yellow ribbons and American flags. I consider them to be symbols, and I leave symbols to the symbol-minded.

About The Scrabbled

The Scrabbled is a group of people blogging about and linking to all manner of things. Usually we argue and make fun of each other. Everybody knows everybody through somebody so there are no strangers here. Most of us have even met in real life! If you happen to personally know someone here and would like to start arguing with and/or making fun of someone, shoot John an email and ask to sign up. Otherwise, you're just going to have to read in relative silence. Sorry.
