It’s only ok, definitely not something that would make me go out and buy the album. I wonder if it’s something that needs to be in context with the rest of the album?

I never checked out the EP released after For Emma so I don’t really know if they’re a one album wonder, but I hope this track makes sense with things before and after it.
Not very good. I’m not going to try and find my posts where I called this. Without the interesting content and concept of that first album, and after a few years of hanging out with Kanye West and making ironic indie 70’s soul albums it’s been pretty clear that the relative innocence that was a large part of the appeal of “For Emma…” is long gone.
So has anyone listened to or do they have this full album yet? It’s getting crazy good reviews. Which I normally don’t buy into, except when all normal signs indicate that it’s time for backlash. I still don’t like the single after numerous listens but is there anything else on it worth checking out?
I listened to it once when it was streaming and I was surprised that I didn’t hate every song. That’s about all I can say about it.
Just downloaded. This thing is up against impossible odds, but, meh. Nothing stood out at all during the first listen. Kinda bummed.
