I’ve been pumped for this new Aphex Twin for so long. I think there’s a good chance it’ll just be more glitchy weirdo techno (not that that wouldn’t make me super happy), but it’s exciting to think that we might get something completely brilliant, off the wall, and new. One can only hope.

Pumped for the new Panda Bear, too. Otherwise, nothing else looks that exciting.

I’m not sure how Bon Iver only gets an honorable mention. I wish Owen Pallett had something coming out this year, even it was only an EP.

I want it to be good, but I’m not expecting much to be honest with you. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised. But between that follow up ep being only “meh”, the whole Kanye West association, and that Gayngs record not being all that hot……I’m just guessing that the off the cuff, secluded, semi-innocent feeling of “For Emma….” is long gone. Maybe it will be something good and new, but I’d say the chances of that are fairly slim.

About The Scrabbled

The Scrabbled is a group of people blogging about and linking to all manner of things. Usually we argue and make fun of each other. Everybody knows everybody through somebody so there are no strangers here. Most of us have even met in real life! If you happen to personally know someone here and would like to start arguing with and/or making fun of someone, shoot John an email and ask to sign up. Otherwise, you're just going to have to read in relative silence. Sorry.
