i am adopting a kitty tomorrow
but she has no name!
tomorrow, i am picking up my brand new kitty from the burlington county animal shelter. she has been there since august and would have been the first to be euthanized but i am saving her!
i need name suggestions! or any suggestions overall for picking up a three-year-old cat from the shelter. she had a home before.

well i thought i had decided on charley, but my mom insists on naming her josie. which i like, because it was my grandmother’s name, but i’d like to honor my dead grandmother by naming my first-born after her, not my first pet.

This is because you all don’t realize that cats only understand German. I scream at Harry’s cat in German all the time, and believe me, he listens.
Our cats come when they’re called. But only to certain tones of voice. I can say “come here, batman” in my normal conversation voice and he’d have no idea I was talking to him. But if I yelled “baaaa’maaaaan,” you’ll here a thump of him jumping down from whatever ledge or piece of furniture he was on and he comes running (usually expecting a treat or a laser pointer to chase). See also: the sound of a clicking laser pointer.
Well when you scream German, I think most beings would listen.

kitty’s official name is frances glass. but, we are calling her franny, of course. or frances when she scratches at the curtains.
Franny is great! I think old lady names are perfect for cats.
I think “Roadkill” has a nice ring to it.
