He talks a lot about blood flow to the brain but does he mention anything about the nervous system? Having your head put on a new body is great but if you can’t move those limbs what’s the point?
Well, we’re not that far off from regrowing nerves and whatnot from stem cells. But hell, put yourself in Steven Hawking’s shoes. At some point, his body may degenerate to the point where it completely stops working and starts killing him. If the choice is between a paralyzed body that’s killing you and a paralyzed body that works… why not? Especially if there’s hope for repairs in the future.
