The Manc is a bad loser

The Piccadilly records top 100 is out

I always get the number one, thought I already had this years and then they throw in Gil Scott-Herons lp im there. I had not heard this before today..I got it yesterday. Holy Shit people, it is a total classic..if you do not like this, regardless of your genre preferences, you do not like music.

Pretty sure I don’t like music. I grabbed it when Pitchfork was raving about it earlier in the year. I mean, I enjoyed it a few times, but a classic?. I just don’t see what all the hub bub is about. There’s barely even a single actual song on it. It feels like an EP with a few really cool parts but mostly filler.

Filler?? where is the filler It is a blues (ish) album..so it was always going to be more than one song.
I just found the whole thing worked as a unit, with some jawdroppingly amazing bits thrown in.
My first listen reminded me of the first time I heard Kid A, I knew I would love it but I would need to discover it slowly,
for me, it sounds like the vinyl lovechild of Tom Waits, Screaming Jay Hawkins and Aretha Franklin
