That was nice, but talk about dragging something out. I mean jeez. Their dad had a bike that was in pieces. They took the pieces and got someone to rebuild it and then gave it to him for Christmas. Nice gift, nice story but a 15 minute video about it?
You clearly do not listen to enough This American Life. You should have been desensitized by now.
I don’t listen to any NPR. I try but then my eyes glaze over out of boredom and I just cannot switch the channel fast enough or I just yell at the radio “Get to the fucking point!!! You are just not that interesting!!!!!”
it took quite a bit of restraint to watch this
it was a great concept, but it did take entirely too long to get through. maybe have one shot of them successfully starting the bike in the shop, not a full 30 seconds of them bumbling around trying to do so. there were a lot of those small examples that could have been cut-down. a little more editing goes a long way.
