Shoes is a platform for writing Ruby code so that it spits out little apps you can use and share. It’s a great way to learn to program and very easy to get started.
It’s linked to on the site above, but just in case you missed it, Why’s poignant guide to ruby is the single greatest manual ever written. It teaches you the basics of programming with the Ruby programming language, but in comic book form.
