cooperstown

so dave and i are planning a weekend trip to cooperstown for early november

you wouldn’t believe how much cheaper it is to stay around cooperstown in the fall rather than the summer. makes sense i guess.

anyway, anyone have any hotels, motels, inns and cottages to suggest? we are really trying to do this as cheaply as possible since we’re going to florida in january and we don’t have much cash flow.

i was doing some research today and came up with these places that resemble camp crystal lake, but are very cheap! what do you guys think?

lake ‘n’ pines

pros: on a lake, $55 a room, video arcade game room

cons: kinda ugly

kcs corner motel

pros: the rooms look like your grandmother’s guest room, $65 a nite, it looks like you’re gonna get murdered here (could also be a con), restaurant right next door that probably has amazing food

cons: really ugly, 20 mins to the hall of fame

the tunnicliff inn

pros: very cool looking rooms, on the same block as the hall of fame, $55 a nite

cons: TOO close to the hall of fame. i wanna feel like i’m on vacation.

I have nothing to add, having never been there, but this sounds like a really awesome trip.

It’s quite possibly the best brewery in America. They definitely make the best Belgian-style beers in America. I think they have bed and breakfast packages too so check out their website.
