Kims dad got that done last month or so. Its tough looking him in the eyes now, all I see is the lens gleaming back at me.

Where are you getting the surgery? A friend’s brother went to Wills Eye when he got hit square in the eye with a golfball.

this is probably something Kev has already experienced so far in his Life of Horrible Eye Situations.
I have my consultation on Thursday and then I will try to get the op. as soon as possible. The vacuuming part does look freaky,but if they are going to shatter my original lens whilst it is still in the eyeball, I guess there is no other choice.
John, I was originally just getting a lens that would fix my long sight vision. seem they do these things in bifocals now and as they last for 30 years or so, I am considering that as an option.
The way I lose/break glasses this should save me a fortune.
I apparently was born with a cataract in my left eye that, if I had developed later in left, would have left me nearly blind in that eye. But my brain kinda formed to correct for it. I wonder what would happen if I suddenly had a fixed lens in there…

Ok, I had the first lens put in on Monday. In my right eye, which was, easily, the worst of the two.
Holy fuck. is this what the world really looks like? Seriously, colors are brighter, definition seems almost unreal.
How did I not know how bad my eyes were and what the heck will it be like when both eyes are done?
