Coin op arcade games

I’ve been thinking about getting a coin op acarde machine. Anybody know any good websites for that sorta thing? I think it would go great with my air hockey table and my gumball machine.

No I don’t, but who here has beaten the Simpsons game and the X-men game?

I have!

And Ryan, I’ve googled around for this more than a few times, but it’s always resulted in my being sad at how much a stand-up arcade actually costs.

If I could buy one, I’d go for Defender or that robot lab game I mentioned here before that Maggie managed to find the name of but i have since forgotten.

This is the best thread of the YEAR!

I’ve wanted a stand up Galaga game for so long… MacMAME just isn’t the same.

You could always get a stand-up MAME machine — it won’t have quite the panache of a dedicated box with the associated artwork and whatnot, but you’d have hundreds of different games you could play.

E.g.,: http://www.xgaming.com/store/arcade-machines/product/x-arcade-machine-cabinet/

Google for it ,though, and there are tons of instructions on how to build your own with an old PC.

my parents got a Pac Man pinball machine for us years ago and i can tell you it’s the coolest thing to have something like that around to play with.

an old friend of mine restores old games as a hobby and has a barn full of them. i can get you his email and maybe he can point you in the right direction.

Paris, That xmen game is the reason i started this thread!
Hey Mandy, I would like that guys email, I’ll hit you up on facebook.
Hutch, the cost isn’t a big deal, I’m gonna save up for it, I just couldn’t find a place with that game. Haven’t tried craigslist yet.

Hahahaha does TNT still exsist?

Those games really brought strangers together. I don’t recall many of the combo attacks from the Simpsons game. But I do know that Nightcrawler was my dude.

We had an Asteroids machine – my parents still have it but it’s broken now – and a pinball machine when I was a kid. My uncle and a family friend made a business refurbing arcade machines and jukeboxes, so a bunch of our family ended up with pinball machines or whatever in our houses. My uncle doesn’t really do it anymore, as far as I know. But I highly recommend pinball, especially the Addams Family and Jurassic Park. I always found it a lot more fun than the video games.

Double Dragon. You need Double Dragon. And if you decide you want something else, just get two arcade games.

Let me know when you get it. We’ll be friends.

Double Dragon.
