Coin op arcade games
I’ve been thinking about getting a coin op acarde machine. Anybody know any good websites for that sorta thing? I think it would go great with my air hockey table and my gumball machine.

I have!
And Ryan, I’ve googled around for this more than a few times, but it’s always resulted in my being sad at how much a stand-up arcade actually costs.
If I could buy one, I’d go for Defender or that robot lab game I mentioned here before that Maggie managed to find the name of but i have since forgotten.
You could always get a stand-up MAME machine — it won’t have quite the panache of a dedicated box with the associated artwork and whatnot, but you’d have hundreds of different games you could play.

Google for it ,though, and there are tons of instructions on how to build your own with an old PC.
my parents got a Pac Man pinball machine for us years ago and i can tell you it’s the coolest thing to have something like that around to play with.
an old friend of mine restores old games as a hobby and has a barn full of them. i can get you his email and maybe he can point you in the right direction.
how could everyone forget this…….

we talk about this place all the time at work. I’m thinking of having my 30th birthday party there.
We had an Asteroids machine – my parents still have it but it’s broken now – and a pinball machine when I was a kid. My uncle and a family friend made a business refurbing arcade machines and jukeboxes, so a bunch of our family ended up with pinball machines or whatever in our houses. My uncle doesn’t really do it anymore, as far as I know. But I highly recommend pinball, especially the Addams Family and Jurassic Park. I always found it a lot more fun than the video games.
