Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti: Before Today

I’m tired and it’s late. So this is not going to be where you expect it to be.

My friend mentioned this band months ago and said, “I can’t believe I had to tell you about this band.” I never acted on it. Until just now. There’s some reeaal funky sax going on in the intro. Though the next tracks become more band-like, I’m definitely interested in finishing this.

This band is like Arcade Fire, as in, they both have band names that somehow aptly (and strangely) describe the music.

Hmm… and now it’s slow, sweeping, and synthy.

Again, I’m tired and it’s late. So this is not going to be where you expect it to be.

Update: Okay now it sounds like poor Michael Jackson bass lines. Not diggin’ the middle tracks too much.

…what?

I definitely do not link Arcade Fire’s name to their music at all.

Neither did I. But it does make sense when you think about it.

I’m not nuts about the single I’ve been hearing “Round and Round”. I’ll try to check out the rest but it’s rare that I don’t like a bands lead single but then like everything else.

Meh, “Arcade Fire” makes me think of childhood, loud noises, despair, mayhem.

“Arcade Fire” makes me think of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHmYC8a_4cI

That band and Arcade Fire should switch names.
