Which reminds me…did anyone see/hear about Kevin Costner’s brother inventing some oil-spill clean up machine? http://www.wdsu.com/news/23550079/detail.html

I just saw some video were some dudes were demonstrating using straw to do it. It just wicks up all the oil, which was nuts. There’s probably not enough straw in the country to get it all, but it was amazing how well it worked. No reason we can’t just start throwing all the straw we can find into the ocean so when it washes up on shore it’s more easily cleaned.

I like John’s idea because it would use up all the hay that would otherwise be put to use elsewhere.

Then the next time some little girl petulantly demands a pony for her birthday, you can say, “You can’t have a pony because all the ponies are dead. We threw their hay into the ocean and they wasted away painfully over a period of weeks. The last thing all the ponies said was that they wished you had loved them enough to feed them hay.”

Wisdom

What can I say? Things can’t possibly be my favorite when the soul is sucked out of them by marketing tools and I hear the hook in an endless loop on my television.

About The Scrabbled

The Scrabbled is a group of people blogging about and linking to all manner of things. Usually we argue and make fun of each other. Everybody knows everybody through somebody so there are no strangers here. Most of us have even met in real life! If you happen to personally know someone here and would like to start arguing with and/or making fun of someone, shoot John an email and ask to sign up. Otherwise, you're just going to have to read in relative silence. Sorry.
