Lala is shutting down, having been bought by Apple, a week before Apple's WWDC.
Will we see a new subscription or streaming iTunes service?

What exactly was LaLa? I don’t ever stream music at all so I have no idea what any of these services do (Pandora, Lala, etc.).
Any time you’ve googled a band or song and there were links at the top of the search results that let you stream the song (or a portion thereof), that was Lala. They’re also on all the pitchfork reviews.
It was actually a pretty great little service. You could sign up for a free account and listen to songs once, so instead of reading the pitchfork review you could listen to the entire album.
