Happy Opening Day!

sorry so late but i’ve been busy all afternoon

and can finally sit and relax (at work mind you) to watch the rest of the game.

everyone’s hittin the ball, halladay is in a nice groove, baseball season is here. let’s all breathe a collective sigh of relief, and regardless of who you root for, let’s be thankful baseball is here.

my prediction: phillies beat red sox in 6 games.

The Yankees are a better team than the Sox, but who knows what’ll happen as the season continues — especially during playoff baseball. The Phillies are the best in the NL, the Yanks the best in the AL, but I don’t think we’ll see a repeat of last year. Bad fortune will strike one of the two teams.

red sox pitching vs. phillies hitting will be something to see.

I don’t even think the Red Sox will make the playoffs this year. The Phillies are probably still the team to beat in the NL, but letting Lee go was a mistake. I think this might be the year that Pujols and the Cards make it through.

Yankees over Cardinals in 6.

Letting Lee go was the thing to do. They weren’t going to retain him for more than a year and they got the Ultimate ground-ball pitcher (which works well in a park like the bank) locked up for a few years. Lee’s more fun to watch, but you couldnt’ have done much better than Halladay if you knew Lee wasn’t someone you could hold on to.

Yeah, but having Halladay, Lee and Hamels for one season would have been incredible.

Im going with the Sox and Rays coming out of the AL East. Its going to be close all around with those two teams and the Yanks winning 90 games. Phils vs. Sox in the WS, but watch out for the Rockies.

yeah so we got rid of one of the best lefties in baseball for one of the top three best pitchers (as far as i’m concerned) in the major leagues. left, righty, ambidextrous, whatever.

plus, he looks like jacob from lost so there’s something mysterious about him.

I’m sure your dancing saddam doll would be most funny, but since i am no longer possessing of my appendages, i am unable to get it to work. In addition, i have no electricity and am therefore unable to see the funny. But many thanks for this, which more than makes up for everything else.
