Actually, somewhere in my box of childhood memorabilia, is a (form) letter I received from Jimmy Carter in response to a letter I wrote him saying I thought he was a great president and a nice guy. It told me that he was happy to know that young people like myself were interested in the direction of our country. I guess even back then I was a bleeding heart liberal.
