I’ve actually always wanted to go to one of those types of conventions as well. That and/or a tattoo convention.
And is that an old picture of Argento they used? He doesn’t look all that old there and without ever fully being conscious of what he actually looks like I always picture him as this really feeble old man.

i’m always talking about going to conventions but there is never any interest from anyone else. if no one goes this year, i’ll just go by myself. i have no excuse not to, since it is as local as one of these things gets.
the Argento picture seems like one that’s been used a lot, but he probably looks pretty much the same – skinny, old & Italian.
The only thing I’m apprehensive about with regard to things like that is the very likely possibility that being around people that are very likely more obsessive about something than I am about it would just annoy me more than it would end up being fun.

i used to be apprehensive about that stuff (which is probably why i haven’t gone to any conventions yet), but i’m kind of getting over it. i’m good at ignoring people or just dealing with them. i’ll enjoy my role as the fairly attractive non-obese lone girl taking lots of pictures of things.
and i’ll drink.
Kev, if you want to make a weekend of it, you should come down. I feel like it’d be a lot of fun, though a lot of this stuff would be over my head. I haven’t seen anywhere near the number of horror movies you (or Justin [or Mandy?]) have, so I’m sure it’d help to have some people around to get excited over things I don’t fully appreciate.
If we were due down there for a trip I’d definitely consider it. But we’ll just be getting back from Vegas in the middle of that week before so I don’t think we’ll be likely to make it down there.
