Indeed. That makes me sad. Though that’s only really the case cause the movie was about Donkey Kong. They could have made it about Jr. which, arguably, was a better game anyhow, and then this would have been the big news.
I still haven’t seen this movie and I really want to. But are there really adult men out there in 2010 for whom beating Donkey Kong times is still a pursuit of theirs? I mean I know about the movie, so I know that there is. Just….I mean…..really?

I’m about 45 minutes into this movie, and it’s pretty great aside from instilling in me the overwhelming desire to shove every person in it’s head in the toilet and flushing repeatedly. Even Steve Weibe, not because he’s a total weiner, but if only for even involving himself with these goobers in the first place.
So I finally finished this movie. Pretty great, but somewhat anti-climactic. What a bunch of tools though. Seriously, the fact that people like that exist just blows my mind. And I know some pretty ridiculous people.
OK, I finally got around to watching this myself and for some reason I kept thinking back to this thread and thinking that everyone here was rooting for Billy. I couldn’t figure out why and I’m glad my memory was wrong.
I agree with Kev. Steve Weibe is just a good dude who unfortunately has allowed himself to be driven a bit too hard by a really ridiculous pursuit. Walter Day also seems like a genuinely decent person, but the rest of these people are just whacked. Who the hell is this Greg Bond maniac?
