John is hungry

The easiest bread recipe you could possibly want.

No kneading. Little yeast. Just mix and rest. If this article gets just one fewer loaves of Wonder Bread on scrabbled shelves, it’s worth it.

I really want to get into unleavened bread. If I never had to worry about yeast it’d be cool.

What’s the problem with yeast? With this recipe you put in a 1/4 teaspoon of the active dry. That’s it.

I didn’t read the article but Irish Soda bread is really easy to make too. I like making it in the fall whenever we’re having a stew or something similar.

The whole fun of making bread is the kneading! Ten minutes of kneading counts as exercise, right? We need to knead more!
Man I haven’t had Wonderbread in almost a year. Why don’t I miss it?

P.S. Have you been to this website? Do you think an electric mixer is really necessary?

cool site! we don’t have a lot of counter space for kneading anything, so our eletric mixer gets used a lot for such tasks.

I guess those of us that are self employed have time to make bread. I’ll just pay $1.50 at the store. We are talking about bread….. bread.

bread bread?

Working at home definitely aids in the bread baking process, yes. Plus, everything tastes better in a t-shirt and slippers.

Has anyone tried to make bagels? I tried a week or so ago and they didn’t come out tasting so bad. My bagel form needs work but taste is more important right?

About The Scrabbled

The Scrabbled is a group of people blogging about and linking to all manner of things. Usually we argue and make fun of each other. Everybody knows everybody through somebody so there are no strangers here. Most of us have even met in real life! If you happen to personally know someone here and would like to start arguing with and/or making fun of someone, shoot John an email and ask to sign up. Otherwise, you're just going to have to read in relative silence. Sorry.
