Lady Gaga has nothing on Fever Ray

First of all, I love any country where The Knife/Fever Ray win any sort of awards….

based on the fact that all american pop icons are unoriginal, are we to believe that this persona was ripped off?

Do you mean Lady Gaga? If you do, then yes her whole deal is completely ripped off. Not necessarily from The Knife/Fever Ray (although it wouldn’t surprise me) but more from like late 70’s/early 80’s disco weirdo’s like Nina Hagen and Grace Jones. Not musically but as far as the whole fashion and visual shtick and the whole fashion/style as art deal she’s trying to push.

The Scrabbled is a group of people blogging about and linking to all manner of things. Usually we argue and make fun of each other. Everybody knows everybody through somebody so there are no strangers here. Most of us have even met in real life! If you happen to personally know someone here and would like to start arguing with and/or making fun of someone, shoot John an email and ask to sign up. Otherwise, you're just going to have to read in relative silence. Sorry.
