My girlfriend has a dress just like that one. It’s one of my favorite things in the world.
With Photoshop experience, print media just sorta falls into this continuum where you see odd glitches just popping up. Like being able to read the Matrix.
Thing is, whenever I see stuff like the first picture, I feel overwhelming empathy for the designer. When you’re working hard and rushing through a stack of changes, there’s always that point where you’re like “it’s good enough… I don’t have time to make this perfect and only anal retentive assholes will pick up on it.”

it usually takes me a year or so of working somewhere to get to that point – the fine line between shoddy workmanship and the stuff that will get passed without a second look. i genuinely try my best to keep myself above that line as much as possible but with the batshit deadlines set for most creative jobs, high standards tend/need to go by the wayside.
I love seeing/reading those things, but without the photoshop knowledge aspect of it, those explanations just make my eyes glaze over.

This really points out how little I actually know about Photoshop.
I prefer the before and after picture comparisons.
And I like blogs dedicated to how wretched it can get: At times NSFW. Be warned, there’s a booby every now and again.
