Best Cheeseteaks & Hoagies
Hey Scrabbled
I have some friends coming to Philly in Feb. They want to get cheesesteaks, and I fear they will go to Pat’s or Genos.
What’s your favorite places to go?

most people like the carts, but i like Little Pete’s on 219 S 17th. it’s a tiny 24-hour greasy spoon diner that i used to frequent in school. i never ate at Geno’s, but have tried Pat’s many times and am always kind of disgusted by it.
honestly, over the past few years, there have been loads of articles on the best cheesesteaks in philly. i’d say do a google search and spend an hour or so reading through the lists!

The best cheese steaks I’ve ever had.
except no one’s driving to Roxborough for a cheeseteak unless they live within 2 miles of it. heh heh heh.

haha you’re absolutely right.
It’s a hidden treasure though.

i used to go there for lunch with my coworkers. drinking in the dark and then having to go back to a brightly-lit office was bad news and hurt my brain. after 4, yes. before 4, baaaad idea.

Interesting. There wouldn’t be any PHS people there to rat us out…
I don’t eat cheesesteaks but Dinic’s in Reading Terminal is supposed to be good. I go for roast pork, and i love Tony Luke’s, especially at the ballpark…which doesn’t help.
Philly Mag always does pieces on this type of thing and I believe the recent winner was not Pat’s or Geno’s. Here is a link to a bunch.
