It gets even worse
I don’t like to be considered a Democrat, even though I take that side more often. Aside from my fundamental dislike of 2 parties, I think there are plenty of good ideas and correct beliefs on the conservative side.
Unfortunately, they will not stop giving me reasons to never, ever vote for them again.
Perhaps most annoying is that Ron Paul is one of these kooks? If he had had a chance, or gone independent, I probably would have voted for him, up until I read more about him and found out he was the tinfoil hat type.

Ron Paul is a complete kook. I could have told you that years ago. He’s got plenty more completely insane ideas like this John Birch bullshit.
But yeah, hopefully the efforts by the GOP to appease the tea parties nutcases and go even further right will squander any gains they might make with the democrats ineffectiveness on display.
