that lee is bye bye and halladay is here
hopefully the mariners get him. they’re my second favorite team.

This move makes no sense at all. Halladay is a hell of a pitcher, but you get rid of a guy who is arguably as good, who has proven himself in the World Series and has grown to legend status with your fans to get him? I don’t understand it.
lee will most likely be gone after this year and the yankees will probably have snatched him up after the 2010 season. this way, we lock an ace in for at least four years. that’s the main thing.

Totally disagree, Jay. This move makes perfect sense and it’s totally a great move. We get a pitcher who can be better than Lee, especially in our park, for more time at a great price. It’s wonderful.

Damn, if that is true then we could have one of the top trios in Lee/Halladay/Hamels. After that it would be between Kendrick/Moyer and possibly Pedro and Smoltz (pending signings) to round out the 4-5 spots.
