Getting rid of shampoo.
Would I be going overboard if I switched or do you think there’s some merit here?

i actually don’t wash my air too often, once or twice a week (not often for me), so i could also probably stand switching to something a little better.
Lush does some decent shampoos in solid & bottled form that might be good for you and the store in Philly is easily accessible. there are more than 4 ingredients, but most of them are natural oils. i like a LOT of other stuff they sell, too.
as someone who has worked in a salon for two years and has a sister as a vidal sasson-trained hair designer, i would say ditch your shampoo.
the best shampoos for your hair are ones you’ve probably never heard of. most of them have so many oils in it to keep your hair looking “healthy” and “smooth” when in fact, they dry out your scalp.
a lot of women could benefit from using sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners. most of them are organic if that’s what you’re into. i could suggest some if you’re so inclined. then you could have long, beautiful, shiny hair like me:

people at the salon ask every day about yucky stuff in shampoo and conditioners.
I know a lot of people who gave up shampoo in favor of a baking soda/apple cider vinegar regimen with their hair.
I’ve used a Lush bar (Godiva) in the past and it didn’t really work out for me – my hair is DOWN TO MY GODDAMN ELBOWS and I just can’t handle something that doesn’t detangle.
Currently I am a Burt’s Bees user. I wash my hair every two or three days, usually.

I really wanted to go to this but no one would go with me. If it comes up again would you be interested?
Also, I have a super itchy scalp (probably some mild psoriasis going on) and I’ve been trying to find something to deal with it for a long time. I was using Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo for awhile. I liked the tingle, but it didn’t really do the trick. Any advice?

Advise, please. My hair is a mess. It’s thick, it’s curly, etc. I’m a hopeless case.

Yeah, I could be into that.
