Advertisement Fail

So I was driving through New York City yesterday (I had a date, woo!) and on my way out, I saw a gigantic advertisement on the side of Madison Square Garden.

I could not believe what I saw. Could these PR/designers be so oblivious to the inherent humor here? Please tell me someone else gets how this is funny.

Again, this is on the side of Madison Square Garden! Incredible!

I get why it’s definitely amusing but I think it was actually intended with that message and not the result of obliviousness. If it’s a pro-self screening message then….yeah I think they meant it to say and imply exactly what it does.

Hmmm, interesting, Kevin. I thought maybe it was for some new medical technology that draws blood (from the arm of course) and screens the blood sample.

Aha! Looks like we can laugh at this ad.

The prostate produces PSA and releases very small amounts of the protein into the bloodstream. Additional PSA is released as a result of prostate problems; including prostate cancer. A PSA test involves drawing a small amount of blood from the arm to check the level of PSA. Regularly monitoring your PSA provides important information to your doctor to aid in the detection of prostate cancer.

Oh, then definitely laugh worthy. Although something tells me they did intend it as some kind of double entendre. I just can’t believe that nobody thought of that angle.
