I am going to start a weekly Monday night ritual. Every week I am going to come up with a mixtape concept and you, the Scrabbled community, will assist in its creation.
Then I’ll make it a playlist on my iTunes to be entertained by, thank you.

Yeah, must have been Tim. I bought the first album they put out after cashing in on him joining Metallica whenever that was in the 80’s but honestly I never followed anything after that.

fair enough, but quoting the author of this post “I better see periods, understood?” i felt ellipses would qualify as periods.
Take the Glasvegas track, S.A.D. Light, from my two.
An ellipsis is its own punctuation mark! The theme is initials!
Uhh, I think i’m gonna go with J.A.R. because it’s my favorite Green Day song, and though not the best song out of my list, it’s the one I most feel like listening to right now.

And an ellipsis isn’t a period, it just contains periods — it’d be like if I asked for bands that contain the letter W, and you posted something with two v’s in a row. Semantics, yeah, but what is the english language but a bunch of stupid semantics?

my choice is actually quite difficult since i will obviously choose something from R.E.M. and they put out one or two albums. i choose what’s in my head right now – “Harborcoat”.

Is 15 actually too much to demand? 12? 13? I don’t want to cut it at 10 necessarily because I figured there were more people interested in doing this.

oh boy. maybe that’s the point of this mixtape. you never know what’s gonna be next but goddammit, it has some sort of common denominator. if that’s the case, i can be into it.
as far as my submission goes. i choose t.s.r. by against me! and 2:45 a.m. by elliott smith.
15 is a bit much for this site, I think. We can get as many as 20 to 25 active users in a single thread, but not everyone’s into music and is likely to offer a suggestion. I say just finish it out with your picks from everyone else’s also-rans.
Also, Paris, you know how to set up opentape streaming, right? Just create a folder on the FTP and copy the opentape code into the songs directory. You should set one up for each scrabbled comp.
Cool. I’ll do that.
And I guess I’ll cut it at 12 tracks. Let’s aim for 12. I will conclude the mix if it ever comes down to it.

Turns out I underestimated the number of active users. I added a quick filter to the authors table (http://thescrabbled.com/users) to hide any user who hasn’t been active in the last 3 months and it returns a total of 50 users. Twice as many as I assumed!
Need help for the following tracks:
3, 4, 7, 8, 9.
Toss it in your special place and I can just do the ol’ copy-paste for setting up the file.
