I am both slanted and enchanted.
i think i’m going to poop myself with excitement. i’m in class right now and before i even saw the pitchfork article i just said “holy shit” out loud and gitty like and the people next to me where like “what?” and i was like "nothing leave me alone, look at your own damn computers.
That is one band I could never get into no matter how hard I tried and no matter how much on paper they were something I should have really been into. Had all the albums, listened to them many many times, saw them live a few times……nothing. Some good songs to be sure, but never really understood the insane degree of fandom they generated.
i am still hesitant to believe this. the amount of exclamation points MAY sway me, but every six months, there’s talk of a pavement reunion and it’s dispelled by stephen malkmus almost immediately. this may be valid since there is an actual date. if this is the case, well i will be getting tickets.
who is the source? why can’t they say? why isn’t it on the summerstage web site?

I’m totally one curmudgeonly SOB but I was the same way at 20 as I am at almost 40 so it’s not a cracky old man thing. I just hate most people, places, and things.
That being said, the Brooklyn Vegan comments section is always hilarious but the one for their post confirming this and the tickets going on sale a year in advance is pretty great.
