Steve has junk in the trunk

Blogging/Twitter Question

Anyone know of an idiot-proof way to very speedily post live updates on a single blog post thread? Or perhaps import a twitter stream into a single post?

I’ve run this blog for our political coverage since the end of spring and tomorrow’s the big primary election, which in NYC may as well be the general election.

Results, commentary, fraud allegations are sure to come fast and furious tomorrow night so I’m looking for a way to very speedily update the blog in a live-stream sort of format.

The main roadblocks to this are the fact that we’re also going to be simultaneously putting together our 14 papers for a 2 a.m. deadline so I won’t be able to do it all myself.

I’m looking for a method of doing quick hit updates with a timestamp that involves minimal formatting (some of our reporters have trouble with mircosoft word on a good day). The blog is a wordpress.org blog.

We’ve got a twitter account (which I also maintain), so that seemed ideal on a first thought. Am I dreaming or is there a clean-cut way of doing this?

I think you’d probably have to custom program it, but there MIGHT be a wordpress plugin for it. Google “wordpress twitter plugin”

Yea there are a couple, but none of them seem to do exactly what I’m looking for.

Annoying as it may be, just starting a post and retopping it myself might be my best option.

Thanks though.

They should update Monopoly in the economic sense.

One of the railroads should be Amtrak, and as soon as you buy it, all other players must pay you a subsidy every turn, then when they land on it, they both lose a turn and have to pay $5000.

When someone lands on luxury tax, everyone with less money picks up the bill.

Income tax is inversely proportional to wealth.

And the electric company is replaced with oil company, and whoever owns it chargers whatever the hell they want.
