John is hungry

4Chan ruining lives on Facebook.

Get someone’s password, “accidentally” post horrible things to their wall, respond as owner. Oh man. So cruel. So hilarious.

Ha ha racism. 4chan = not funny, often depressing.

That initial one that was making the rounds was funny but quite obviously fake.

What exactly is 4chan and why is it’s demographic so racist?

Not fake, just not the actual facebook owner. It’s a real facebook profile.

4chan is 4chan.org. Most of the horrible stuff comes from /b (http://img.4chan.org/b/imgboard.html). The thing about 4chan is that it isn’t searchable, it’s completely anonymous, and posts expire. So it’s pretty much completely impossible to trace anything to anyone.

As for it’s demographic, they aren’t actually racist. They’re just “in it for the lulz” as they put it. Essentially, they’re the internet’s largest troll community. Mostly bored, angry teenagers. Trolls get kicks by getting people worked up. Racism gets people worked up pretty easily. So a you get a lot of that stuff. For the most part, though, I don’t think most of them think that stuff.

I meant that it was pretty obvious the post itself was fake. If it had been slightly less over the top then it would have been a bit more believable but even the most clueless person wouldn’t have written a lot of that stuff even if they thought it was just an e-mail and not a wall post.

This is effing hilarious, well the suicide one aside.

/b/ is vastly superior to Something Awful and consistently has good shenanigans. Plus they (/b/) have a warm spot in my heart for Anonymous.

About The Scrabbled

The Scrabbled is a group of people blogging about and linking to all manner of things. Usually we argue and make fun of each other. Everybody knows everybody through somebody so there are no strangers here. Most of us have even met in real life! If you happen to personally know someone here and would like to start arguing with and/or making fun of someone, shoot John an email and ask to sign up. Otherwise, you're just going to have to read in relative silence. Sorry.
