Give Me An Album
I haven’t had a solid album downloading session in a while (usually I get one in weekly). My past two download sessions consisted of classic reggaeton like Buju Banton, and then some 90s hip-hop/rap like Tribe Called Quest.
I’m just sitting here randomly listening to tunes from my whole collection, and I’d like something new to try. It doesn’t necessarily have to be newly released, just new to me.
I’ll let you know if I have it, if I’ve tried it before, or if it actually is new to me.
And no, I will not give you a jumping-off point.

I only listed one? And they’re fucking incredible. The drummer from Hella plays for them.
Soundtrack from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Fuck, just get anything by Danny Elfman. Dude is the best.
I have that Advantage album and I listen pretty regularly.
I didn’t like anything suggested. I’m working on getting that Ed’s Redeeming Qualities album and Danny Elfman music is a great idea.
The Marked Men. Super energetic, simple punk rock that really gets me knees going.
The Ovens – like They Might Be Giants fronting Weezer covering Beatles and Nirvana songs.
i played through a few Louis XIV albums today and the lyric are just crass enough to play at work and laugh a bit. they remind me a little of Kid Congo Powers’ newer stuff, but i suppose both may be an acquired taste.
I just listened to the Philadelphia Experiment to the first time in a while. One of my fav jazz albums with ?uestlove on the drums. good stuff.

the newer album is starkly different from the other one i heard. i didn’t love or hate them.

LIsten to it, though. It’s surprisingly accurate and kind of funny.
