Some quick 'cheap' Vegas tips
We just got back Vegas last night and had a great time! We walked the strip a lot and found a few good deals. We also hung out by the pool, saw a show and got engaged on top of the Stratosphere. The whole trip wasn’t cheap, but we tried…and learned for next time!
- Don’t buy drinks at any hotel or casino bar. It’s ridiculously expensive. Instead, look for deals like the $2 coors light cans, $1 cups of margaritas, or $5 red bull/vodkas at Bill’s Gambling Hall or order free drinks when you gamble.
- If you want to see a show, check the Tix 4 Tonight booths. They are all over the place and easy to find. We saw the comedian Vinnie Favorito for half price, around $40. Some Cirque shows were cheap too, but we only saw that one.
- At those same booths, they sold meal vouchers for $3 per person. We ate at Top of the World at the Stratosphere and saved $47. We had the best meal ever, but could only eat at 5:15 or 9:30pm. It was worth it.
- A lot of tools order those yard-length frozen drink cups. My favorites were the ones shaped like Eiffel towers that look like giant penises. Even funnier when little, old Asian men drink them out of straws.
- Cheapest gambling is on Fremont Street…lots of $5 tables. My boyfriend fiance found a $2 blackjack table in one of the places there. Also, the Tropicana has cheaper gambling.
- There are many free things to watch…Bellagio fountains, Mirage volcano (SO COOL), and a Treasure Island pirate show. (Eh.) The flamingo has a bunch of live flamingos in the middle of it, MGM has lions, and Caesars has a free show we didn’t see. We walked for hours and never got bored.
That’s all I have for now…I’m still recovering, I think.
