From the Bands I Should Have Gotten Into A Couple Years Ago files:
These two play some of the happiest, most fun music that I’ve heard in a while, and it all from a keyboard and a set of drums. It’s incredibly infectious. I can’t help but smile from ear to ear when I listen.
Anybody else into ’em?

For the same type of set up I prefer Mates of State. I don’t hate Matt and Kim, they just have slightly too much of a hipster air to them.
I really like Daylight. I don’t think I can handle them for much more than a few minutes at a time though.
I just watched the “Lesson Learned” video this morning. I had never heard anything from them before. It was enjoyable especially near the end when the girl was la-la-ing. I’m willing to explore more.
Just listened to “Daylight”. I’ve never thought this about music ever before: if I heard this in 2000, I would have liked it a lot, but now I’m just not impressed.
