Mercy
So, I saw one of those digital message boards that you see at construction sites at the end of my block when I got home last night.
It said that the street would be closed on Thursday from 4-10PM, so I obviously got pretty pissed off because I figured it would mess with my already shitty commute and dicey parking situation. But, later last night I found a flyer in my mail slot that said a TV show called Mercy would be shooting here during that time, so I thought that maybe that would be pretty exciting.
I just did some Googling to see what I could dig up on the show, though, and meh.

I’ve grown to loathe TV filming on my block.
Last week Jennifer Aniston was filming for her new movie “the Baster” on the street where my car was parked. But to avoid the paparazzi catching wind, they didn’t put out fliers until the night before saying you had to move your car by 6 am.
Long story short, Jennifer Aniston had the NYPD tow my car. Sucks to the cinema.
I almost want to include “thumbs up” rating type things on this site just so I can thumbs up the living hell out of this post for referring to Tractenberg as Nona.

I would probably go on a shooting spree if this happened to me. Aren’t NYC towing bills absurdly expensive? Such bullshit.
my walk to school was ruined every day while they were shooting “in her shoes” in philly

and then stupid cameron diaz ate at the restaurant across the street, and some fancy sports car was illegally parked in front of my apartment AND DID NOT GET A TICKET UGH
also i bet this tv show’s theme is that stupid duffy song
back when i lived in philly they were shooting that TV show Hack on my street, and i didn’t see any signs i just woke up the next morning and my car was gone and food service truck was in it’s place. but it was all okay, they just moved my car like 10 blocks down the road into the hood, and not having a car i had to walk there. totally awesome.
I basically had the same experience that Ryan had. They moved my car somewhere ten blocks away and the precinct gave me an approximate area where I could go look for it.
Which was cool, you know, since I didn’t have to go to work or anything.
yeah not having a car in the city = good. i just got a lot of “WE ARE SHOOTING. YOU NEED TO WALK ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STREET.”
