Forceful at several moments, the president reserved his strongest answer for what turned out to be the sharpest question of the night – a query from CNN’s Ed Henry suggesting that New York attorney general Andrew Cuomo was getting “all the action” on the American International Group bonus scandal. Henry asked the president why he hadn’t gone public with his “outrage” over the bonuses earlier?

“It took a couple of days because I like to know what I’m talking about before I speak,” Obama said.

It was funny becasue Obama dodged it the first time, then when the prick pressed him on it, he cut him down. You had to hear it…

While I normally loathe the “both sides do this blah blah blah” bs as the lowest form of political idiocy, when it comes to televised speeches I freely admit that I don’t watch them no matter who is in office. With Bush it was because I just did not want to be annoyed watching him try to speak, with Obama he’s just going to say a bunch of stuff I probably agree with, and even the stuff I don’t agree with…..I’ll hear about it ad nauseum elsewhere.

This, to me, is the America worth fighting for. These are the laws I support. Don’t believe in abortion? Don’t understand gay people? Sexuality make you rashy? Think Harry Potter teaches kids evil and witchcraft? Don’t marry a sexy gay witch abortionist. But don’t you dare, based on your limited understanding of God and life, make laws declaring that I can’t.
