attention uninsured and underinsured
this isn’t a commercial during the price is right.
i have no health insurance.
anyone have any experience getting medical or dental attention at a clinic or any place like that?
don’t tell me how you bugged your family doctor for meds and he doled them out to you. i already have that at a couple of places. i’m saying i want to go to the goddamn dentist and get my goddamn teeth cleaned for not a lot of money because i have no goddamn insurance.

I just didn’t get my teeth cleaned for five or seven years or however long it was. Got my first checkup/cleaning in the fall. No cavities and very little plaque build-up. I win!

you had the ability to get it done and you didn’t for several years??? man, i’d kill to have it done. i have very nice straight teeth. i don’t wanna muck em up.
It was implied that I didn’t have health/dental insurance at the time. I just didn’t go rather than pay more.

It’s weird, I’ve never had a lapse in health coverage, but I haven’t seen a doctor since March 2006.
However, like clockwork, I visit my dentist for a cleaning every 6 months.
colleges with dental programs will give free or low cost dental care. check that first.
for other health issues, go to the hospital, and while your there apply for charity care. its good for a year and covers a percentage of your costs based on how much you make.
or, you know, find a better job that offers medical.

yeah maybe i’ll check out umdnj. i mean, lawsuits aside, they gotta know how to CLEAN teeth.
Dental colleges are a seriously good idea/suggestion for the uninsured.
even camden county college has a dental program. youll have to make an appointment, and sometimes it takes a few weeks to get in, but thats how my lady friend has been doing it for the past few years.
