That’s a bummer, but that was a great post because that tour he mentions doesn’t get nearly enough credit for the impact it had in setting the stage for that type of music becoming popular. I was at the first Lollapalooza which at the time was a very odd thing that this collection of weird bands could sell out outdoor festival venues. Jane’s was the biggest band on the bill and I don’t even think that Been Caught Stealing had become a hit yet. NIN were pretty amazing on that tour. I don’t think I’ve seen many bands that hungry (metaphorically speaking) in 30 years of going to shows.
